The choir performs during the Papal Celebrations at St. Peter's and in concerts all over the world during the numerous celebrations of the Pope.
Once the choir used to perform inside the Sistine Chapel frescoed by Michelangelo, today more frequently the celebrations take place at the St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
Sistine Chapel's Choir is composed of 20 permanent adult singers and about 35 boy singers, the Pueri Cantores. The boys attend the Schola Puerorum (a free school).
